Final Approach
Rachel and I made it back to central IA in one piece. Smooth flight back. We actually caught a 2kt tailwind at 6500' until we got to Iowa, then we got into ~12kt headwind. Still made the trip in about 2:45.
We'll do a full write-up and post pics once we get home. We actually diverted ~20nm south of home so we could attend her family's Labor Day festivities. Ain't flying great!? Eat brunch in the U.P. and dinner in central Iowa in the same day! Man I love this stuff...
MANY MANY MANY thanks to the Fredricks' for all the work they put into the weekend. They have a GREAT event going on. We will definitely be planning on going back next year if not sooner.
