Pattern Altitude
So, it's been a while since I went to an airshow. The local EAA chapter was putting on a fly in at my local airport today. So I woke up early and made it out there.
It was a pretty cool show, I got to see some planes in person that I never saw before, I.E. Lancair, Ercoup, Navion, a C-41 etc.
I had to leave before the F-15's showed up.
There was also some action, on rwy 180 they was a strong cross wind from the east. Well these two Cubs were coming in to land and one of the two let the tail get caught in the wind and the plane whipped around and went off the runway into the grass.
I really thought he was going to do a ground loop, but he saved it and just taxied to where I was standing after.
A very fun outing for a Saturday morning.
