With budgets back on track, the "Luke Days - Lightning in the Desert" airshow was this weekend. It was Awesome. 200,000+ spectators! After seeing all that action and incredible aerobatics, I always feel so humble just trying to get 'er down softly on the center line.
The F-35 Lightning made it's public debut, with a fly-by with a P-38 Lightning:

And there was the heritage flight:

The Thunderbirds, aerobatic P-51s, Ospreys, and more. It was a hoot...

Oops... first delivery of F35 for Luke.. and their first public display. But first-ever fly-by with P38 and F35

Pretty sure that has been done also.

OSH a couple of years ago.

I'm glad you went to a great airshow!

Unless you're talking Beech F35 ;), I don't think there has ever been a F35 at Osh... not even on the schedule for this year.

You mean F-35 Lightning II. Just got back from Luke as well. Great show.

Either OSH or SnF, can't remember which. It put on quite a show with the thrust vectoring.

Sounds like it was a great show. I will be attending Airfest in Tampa, Florida next weekend, and then Sun and fun two weekends after that. I love air show season!
