Glad I flew up yesterday, when it was only gusting 14 knots instead of today's 28G44 ... but BJC is 28G39 right now, so we're not much better.

Wow...now I'm thinking I got in on a "calm" day.

I bet KRAP PPL's know cross wind technique darn good by check ride day!

It was 185 degrees at 55 yesterday at OKH which is 07/25

KRAP is always windy. It was the strongest wind, and strongest crosswind, I'd ever flown in (20G35, 40° left of the runway). When I commented on it, the guys in the FBO said I should see a windy day . . . . Planes were chained down instead of using ropes, too.

It has been dead calm here all week, with a temperature inversion aloft. So the valley, we live in a bowl, is getting filled with pollutants and the visibility and air quality is going down hill. Supposed to get a front through on Christmas with 20% chance of rain. So that should clean things up.
