Been happening the last couple days. This mornings example is in the main page/controlled airspace section.

From the main forum page (http://www.pilotsofamerica.com/forum/index.php) the most recently updated thread under Flight Following shows to be:
http://www.pilotsofamerica.com/forum/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=34858

I enter the flight following forum
http://www.pilotsofamerica.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=7

And the thread doesn't show up anywhere unless I do a refresh.

Win XP
IE 8.0.6001.18702

No, I am not switching to Firefox or anything else because at work I have customer sites I have to visit which only work with IE, and I'm not going to switch back and forth between browsers.

you should probably get a mac and run firefox

There is an add in for Firefox to make it look at webpages exactly how IE would. He could use this add in.
That's what I was going to suggest. It actually uses the IE engine for the sites you specify.

Beyond that, do you have IE check for newer versions of stored pages on every visit to the page? (Under IE6, which is the IE I have loaded on this machine, it's on the General tab of the Options dialog under the Settings button on Temporary Internet Files. I thought there were pragmas in PoA pages that should direct the browser to not cache the pages, but maybe not.

It had always been set up that way in previous version, checking under this one it had Automatically as the option, I changed it to Always. We'll see what that does. I'd always had it as....uh....always, in the past.

Why do I keep thinking this is a thread about Nick?:D
