Edit: Maybe it has something to do with this being a Holiday Inn Express.

Sounds like they're blocking the port chat lives on. I could move chat to a port that would work if we absolutely had to - but doing so isn't free.

It's working for me (and several others) I think it's still some type of a hotel proxy not wanting you to chat with your friends.

I think so too. It's a hotel conspiracy! I'll try tomorrow from another hotel.
