Webupdater GPSmap 496

I can't get webupdater for Mac to talk to the GPS unit.

If the GPS is turned off nothing happens.

If the GPS is turned on, the cursor freezes and the updater says that it can't find any devices.

Any ideas?

Not just Mac...tried it on a PC...it starts to update, then the system loses site of the GPS.

They used to be pretty good, may have changed....
