Thought this was kinda nifty... good if your data coverage sucks horribly and you want a METAR or TAF.

Don't know who runs it or why, or if they'll spam the holy hell out of us, or even if it'll be there tomorrow after the hordes from here descend upon it, but whatever...
 
Nifty but not sure it will get a lot of use. Google had that service for a few years, but it was dropped due to lack of traffic.
 
Jesse made an email service which would notify you if stations of your choosing went outside preset parameters, you could set your destination as 'notify if winds exceed 30kts' or 'ceiling drops below 500ft' etc - which I found incredibly helpful to keep an eye on changes in advance of your flight.

The Aeroweather app now has a function like this...
