"We Served Too" coming to PBS

Women pilots served with distinction and brilliance during the war as ferry and cargo pilots. Very cool they are being recognized for their valuable war time service to our country.

WACs (Women's Air Corp*) was a valuable asset to the war effort.

*If you are in the current administration it is pronounced "core", not "corps". ;)

Betty Faux was one of my DEs for a couple of rides, she had a log book any pilot would drool over. I learned a lot from her in those rides.

I lived across the street from a wonderful old lady that ferried B-17's to Europe during WWII. I have a little bit of knowledge of their contribution from talking to her.
