Hubby worked for Amir Tirosh until business difficulties made it impossible. Our plane and Amir's spent many years tied down side-by-side at White Plains.

Bruce (DutchessFlyer) from POA was in line to takeoff at KPOU when this happened... assisted in locating the plane after it reported engine difficulties enroute and was trying to make it to KPOU.

Thanks for your kind remarks. Hubby is rather deeply affected by this - nightmares. He had the last leg of our flight home on Saturday and found out how shaken he is because he was fixating on the oil pressure gauge, strange noises in the aircraft, and looking for emergency landing sites the entire distance. He has scheduled flights with his CFIs tomorrow.

He is trying to find and read everything he can find about the crash.

Uggh, sounds like he did everything right and just got a bad place to land. So close to the airport, too... #4 spark plug oil soaked, filter and screen full of metal. Not a good hand to be dealt.
