Here is the story. I just got rid of Mediacom cable and put up an antenna. Everything is great with that. I still get internet service through Mediacom however. Just as side note on that, when I told them that I was going to keep the internet service, but that I wanted to drop the cable, they wanted to crank up the cost of the internet because it wasn't bundled with cable. When I told them that I was going to go to Century Link, they lowered the internet only cost from what I was paying before. That was interesting.
OK, so I know about Netflix and Hulu, and what I need to do to stream it to my tv. I also know that I can go to the different sites on the internet channels and watch their shows on my computer. For example, I can go CBS on Saturday and watch the shows that aired Friday on my computer. My question is, can I hook up my computer to the TV and watch those shows on my 47" TV instead of my 12" lap top?

Investigate Boxee.

I have it in every room of my house. I would never go back. Just need a TV with VGA input or a PC with an HDMI output and you're golden.

If you have an android device, you can even use it as a remote control.
