Warrenton-Fauquier (KHWY)

Just a plug for the folks at Warrenton. Nice facility, excellent service and VERY friendly! Very nice crew car (which they were happy to hold for us) and a very pretty area of the country. Brian and David went out of their way to make this a wonderful experience.

I did most of my pattern work at Warrenton. I never had a problem there (aside from a flat on landing, but not a problem with THEM), but I'll caution pilots to look up the situation with the aerobatic boxes before approaching. They typically have a box either just north or just south of the runway. Also, if the Flying Circus nearby is doing a show, it's pretty close to Warrenton so you should try not to become part of the show (unless you have a sweet WW2 biplane perhaps).
