The original "I don't know it all" of aviation.
My dad was a USAF IP in T38's about this time period... So fun for me to see what he experienced.

Sucks that we no longer are able to terrorize students with the TACAN fix-to-fix.
 
The worst aircraft to give a PAR to. They show up still doing 200 + kts, student can barely talk because they’re 5 miles behind the plane, IP keys over the students incorrect read backs, snake the whole way down on final, low approach and pick up the IFR on go. I can only imagine how soaked with sweat the student is when they land back at Columbus.:(
