I was listening to the ASOS this morning, and they were giving the ceiling as, "view 800, overcast 1500". I hear the term "view" all of the time when I am checking the ASOS. What is the meaning of "view"?

Maybe the ASOS computer needs some speech therapy? Methinks it was trying to say "few".

That very well could be, as my hearing isn't always the best. That sounds more reasonable to me, than "view". Thanks for the response.

I've heard "verticle visibility" and "few" but never that odd combination of them. It might be time to check the battery in your headset...or your hearing aid
