Today was one of those CAVU days in the mountains. Not a burble in the air as we did maneuvers at around 12,000 feet. You’ll notice that even at those altitudes, the mountains surrounding us are higher.

is straight and level considered 'maneuvering'?

If it's a Piper, yes. No approved for spins. Not approved for aerobatics. Don't push it. :D

When are we going to see some pictures of your Monanaza "maneuvering"???

I totally posted a video of my crash landings!

I've been travelling. Missed that post. Now you're going to make me search for the link as punishment, right. :D

My old Cherokee 140 could go 12K on a bad day. Not surprised a Dakota can do it, and I imagine it can go quite a bit higher. You can have your rocks.

I looked up that airplane, and it’s still around!
When I first started renting that airplane it was N8438E, then the leaseback owner had it changed to something with his initials. It's an '82 model, built when new airplanes just had 2" registration marks, so the switch was easy.

I've seen recent photos of it, with its gorgeous new red paint.
