Some of them seem more like helicopters. How can you have a vertical takeoff without something driving the rotor?
Don't you have to have a good head wind to take of verticaly in the single seater. If the rotor energy from the start up motor burns off won't it settle back to the ground unless there is wind blowing threw it? I understand landing is an autorotation so zero ground role is possible. All and all those are some very cool aircraft!!
