What makes a route segment unusable? An example would be V2 on the 270 radial of MKG the route becomes unusable at the COP from the BAE VOR.

Normally I fly /G but I may need to make a trip /U so the question is can I still file /u from the MKG vor to the BAE vor? And why is it unusable? :dunno:

When leaving MKG file direct BAE vor via vectors? :dunno: or is this :nono:

Usually it's a problem with the VOR radial, often discovered during a routine flight check of the route or the navaid.

Don't worry about it. There's good radar coverage all the way.

Doh!! I leveraged my friends at POA before looking at the AFD for Muskegon..that makes sense. Thanks.
