I had the privilege today of taking three young people for their first (non-airliner) airplane ride.

It started out as a ride for my Rotary Club's exchange student, a high-schooler from Argentina. Then, she asked if she could bring her friend, another exchange student, she, from Japan.

Lastly, the host family asked if a friend of theirs, a college student from China, could come along as well.

It was an international extravaganza. You should have seen the look on Anto's face when I flipped the yoke over in front of her. She did great.

Good fun!

I love showing visitors to our country the wonders of this place. For several years I had bus loads (literally) of Japanese tourists (thru the University of Nebraska) wanting to see a "farm". They were just amazed at the expanse of land, wide open spaces, and hours and hours of corn!

It's fun playing the ambassador, unless you are in Libya. ;)

I flew the preeminent Japanese Origami artist Tomoko Fuse when she visited here. Just flight to a local burger joint and museum. She actually lost her Japanese cool over it.

Haven't done any Young Eagles flights in a dog's age. Don't mind, just hasn't come up.

Very cool!!! Great job.

I love flying Young Eagles, although I've am having to curtail that until I dig up a job.
