I thought Verizon always said that their customers don't want that stuff. They said that to their customers who were screaming about not being able to use bluetooth on their phones.
It's an announcement but wait and see how it rolls out. They can "oh, gee, really?, soon, almost, nobody-else-has-that-problem" for years to keep things not working.
