Velocity with a jet engine.

Saw a velocity being built with a jet engine,equipped with high velocity chutes,and a Volkswagen engine in the nose powering a retractable sail plane prop for emergencies. Very interesting,to say the least.

Sounds cool. There's at least one guy who has a Velocity flying with a jet engine. Used to be a vid on YouTube of his first flight. Also the founder of Blue Mountain avionics used to have a Cozy with a jet engine. Saw it in person up in Murphy N.C. once.

Yep, that's it. Not as practical as a piston but cool. I have a DVD on the Cozy jet. They say it burns 42 gal/hr at cruise. If you consider it's cruise is approaching 300 KTAS at altitude it's not all that bad.
