Need to build about 100 hours over the next 6-9 months, but can't afford a $15k layout right now. Does anyone have any data on small Vegas Flying Clubs that may be willing to take a short-term buy-in (VGT or HND) ... or any other brilliant ideas? Pros - ATP/AMEL, ATP/ASEL, CFII, instrument current. Cons - Not CFI/MEI, only available on weekends, no types. The buy it-fly it-sell it route is probably not an option, but I haven't completely ruled it out yet. Limitation is retirement in 12 months and can't have an expensive toy on hand when that happens. Large clubs (Monarch Sky, etc.) don't offer any savings over straight renting at $130-$150/hr.
