Vacuum and TC failure in IMC

My takeaway from all this is that the Dynon D1 look like cheap insurance.
 
Hate it when that happens.

2 vacuum AIs, 1 vacuum DG, 2 vacuum pumps (attached to different engines), Aspen, and electric TC. Should be enough redundancy.
 
Here's the guilty vacuum pump. It completely seized, shaft broke off, and it's dumping little bits of graphite.

I like your thinking. Dual Aspens with separate AHRS and battery back-ups, vacuum AI, electric TC, Stand-by vacuum, Xavion with AHRS, ForeFlight with Stratus 2.
