Not sure what to think...Carb ice? Engine sounded (could be hearing things) as though it went silent with a few thousand feet to go...all with severe clear skies. Although from the post crash video it does look like his carb heat is out (or is that cabin heat? not familiar with that model).

Deep snow, I'm a warm weather ( as in rarely see snow in my neck of the woods) pilot, but I seem to recall that deep snow causes things to flip...as seen on video. Abrupt stop...surprised no one was hurt! :thumbsup:

Okay enough armchair quarter backing from me...these passengers definitely were calm as ALL get out!

The written comments explained that the pilot rejected the option of landing on the interstate highway because of too many high lines crossing the road. I often have dreams nightmares of taking off and almost hitting high lines as I look for a place to climb out safely. After seeing what happened in the snow field landing, I think I will take my chances landing on a road.:rolleyes:
