Used KN64 install?

Would it be worth the labor cost to install one in a basic old school 2 nav/com plane? Initial purchase cost is almost free.

One of my radios is the KX155 (other is MX300). How much time to install?

The reason I like em is solely for determining distance from the field or VOR (I don't do any IMC/IFR). And handy for descent planning and initial tower/flight-following call ups.

Considering the price of a tablet, no. If there is something about the aircraft that prevents use of a tablet then maybe. I happen to have DME and used to use it a lot. 430 w installed now so don't use it as much. It's still handy when flying under a Bravo but I mostly turn it off on cross countries.
