Used Avionic Question

I'm looking at a barely used JPI 830. What do I need to transfer the STC? Is this something JPI will have to do? Thanks, I've never bought used avionics.

If you think you'll need the STC, you'll have to get it from JPI.

I would talk to the avionics shop or person that will be doing the install. As soon as you get this question answered, you'll have several more. Ran into that when I started talking about tweaking my panel.
