US air cargo safety "Deadly Express"

How many truckers die each year?

What I mean is that we can regulate, regulate, regulate, until things are regulated out of existence.

Now I do not want the companies to get a free pass....but from my brief reading half of the problem is simpl enforcement of existing rules. Sounds like the FAA is asleep at the wheel.

BTW...90 deaths in six years for the miles flown is NOT a "large number" as the article seems to imply.

And too the widow...I am truly sorry your husband is dead, but you will NEVER make flying 100% safe, or driving, or swimming for that matter. I just get sick whenever I hear some grieving widow say "we need to make sure this NEVER happens again". Really? Then ground planes, close mines, stop selling cars....life has risks, and we need to understand that.
