Under! Not over!!

"Why do I have to assemble it that way.......it's easier this way. Stupid engineers don't know how to build anything."

note: I have no idea if the photos were inverted so I could have the title backa..wards.

Other than the obvious cutting action , what part and where is that located ?

Can you imagine how long it took to cut that far? How many annuals missed it!?

Somebody noticed it. And put tape between the wire and tube to slow down the damage.

Especially significant is the black chaffing tape on the tube, which indicates someone knew the cable was contacting the tube before it began to saw its way through 75% of this primary control tube.

Controls are overrated. You have more than one, ya know.

At least someone after training knows how to use a rudder pedal!

Actually the damaged tube is the rudder pushrod.... The cable doing the actual "sawing" it the elevator control..... I think..
Still, whatever the function of the tube /cable is... that damage happened over years of contact, not just 12 months worth. INHO.

Ben.
