I have a 2001 ELSA SkyBoy, w/Rotax 912ULS engine. I'm a certified Repairman. I'm renovating and upgrading the plane to today's requirements.
I just added SkyBeacon & SkySensor to the wingtips (already have NARCO AT-150). It was an easy job. However, software configuration is not.

Couldn't find detailed info on the internet (particularly YouTube). The tiny red light on the SkyBeacon is blinking, meaning that I miss something.
I'm trying to configure SkySensor, but the software refuses, asks SkyBeacon be connected first. When I do that, it doesn't see SkySensor anymore. I'm afraid they don't see (communicate with) each other.
Could this be because SkyBeacon does not get good satellite reception?

Also, Wi-Fi reception of SkyBeacon is one tick less, while SkySensor having full reception!
I can turn OFF and ON the lights of SkyBeacon using the software, but not the ones on SkySensor.

Anybody knows any link on how to configure the pair in Android?

Call uAvionix support and they can walk you through this.

Blinking red light on the skyBeacon most likely indicates no GPS signal. Are you outside when you see blinking? It might take a couple minutes to acquire GPS, especially if the device hasn't been run for a while.

skySensor and skyBeacon don't communicate with each other.

Yesterday, I noticed something: I'm afraid the culprit is the NARCO AT150.
The SkyBeacon app says "Squawk ...... 0000", meaning that it is not getting connected to the transponder (with 1200 on it).
Yes, I'm outside. Readings: NIC 8, NACp 9.

Sure enough, the indicator light (green) on the transponder comes ON when I turn ON the ADS-B and the Transponder (same switch), but stays ON for 15 secs, then, turns itself OFF.
When I only connect NARCO alone, this time it stays ON for about 23 secs, then turns OFF.
There's no way I can test it via a Tower, I'm far away.

Would this prevent me turning OFF the position and strobe lights on the SkySensor, using the app?
If not, how do I turn it OFF and ON via the app? Where in the app do you see the SkySensor configs? Is there another app for SkySensor? 192.168.4.1 does nothing in that regard.

It looks like my NARCO AT150 is defective. I got a good deal on eBay for a Garmin GTX 335 (Mode-S). It will reach me in a month.

Since the new one has ADS-B OUT capability, I will have to disable SkyBeacon's ADS-B OUT to prevent conflict. I hope I can still use the SkySensor for ADS-B IN.

One thing that I couldn't solve yet, is the configuration of the SkySensor. Is there anyone who was able to configure it via the app?
The app wants SkyBeacon ON. However, there's no selection in the app to adjust the SkySensor. I only see it in the Wi-Fi list, and at the opening screen of the app. Once it connects to SkyBeacon, it automatically switches to the control screen. No word for SkySensor!?

Do I need to configure SkySensor by connecting to it via a second Android device, running the same app?
Presently, the only adjustments are Channel#, and Pwr Level, by connecting to it via 192.168.4.1/settings
However, I cannot find a way to Turn-OFF the Green Position Light and/or the Strobe light, from the software (like in SkyBeacon). I think I'll have to call uAvionix.
