Turner Classic Movies running aviation marathon now.

I saw "The High and the Mighty" and "Islands in the Sky" last night. w00t!

It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963)
A group of greedy clowns tears up the countryside in search of buried treasure.
(Yeah, I know the last one isn't aviation, but it's a fun movie!)
Whaddya mean it isn't aviation? This film contains complete ground school courses in aviation subjects such as flying a Beech 18; maintenance of fabric-covered aircraft; ATC procedures; emergency preparedness at general aviation airports; and a tour of the now-closed Rancho Conejo Airport in Newbury Park, California. :D

I love that movie. When I got back from passing my PPL check ride the scene with Mickey Rooney, Buddy Hackett, Jim Bachus (drunk) "flying" the Beech 18 was on the TV when I turned it on. Fortunately I did a little better than they did flying the plane.
