Looking for opinions about truetrak for my 172. They say that there is an ANP on the field there (Arkansas) who will install the units for $1500 flat rate - which means that baby gets an auto pilot for $6500.

Seems cheap. Anybody have thoughts about them or other options?

Trutrakhas been around a while in the experimental crowd. It is $2500 under the cost ofTrio aviations model for very similar features. True the Trio aviation model has more leds on the face so looks cooler but...
Perhaps, since it is new on the certified market, going to the RV'ers site would offer more reviews.
FWIW, it is what I will probably install once approval is given for PA28.

The TruTrak product is solid. They owned the experimental market before others caught up.

Been flying one in my RV10 for 6 years and 900 hours.

that labor sounds low, especially for a two axis.
