I have a TruTrak autopilot in my RV-8, and love it.
It's simple to use, slaved to both GPS's, and dead nuts accurate.
When I create a synthetic approach using my GRT Horizon HXr, the TruTrak autopilot will fly me straight to the first Highway in the Sky box. From there, I just fly through the boxes, like a video game, down to any runway in America. Even grass strips.
For ~$500, I could add vertical guidance to the TruTrak (right now I've got altitude hold, climb rate, and descent rate), and it would fly me to the runway threshold.
It's a great piece of kit. If TruTrak can break S-Tec's death grip on GA, y'all will benefit.
