If you have, or know someone who has an experimental with a Tru Trac auto pilot this SB is critical. I know of several screws that have come loose (including mine) and one came off and jambed the elevator in an RV-8. The pilot successfully landed the plane, but it was a near unrecoverable situation.

Copied from another web site with the permission of Tru-Trac.

We have finally received the updated screws and released our service bulletin for the servos. You can find the service bulletin here: http://www.trutrakap.com/Service_Bul..._bulletin.html

To obtain replacement screws PLEASE use this form here: http://www.trutrakap.com/service_bulletin_form.html

EDIT: The serial numbers field is not required.

Please use the form as we will ONLY be shipping these out once a week, most likely each Friday. The web form is the best way to make sure you get the screws. While we will not deny phone calls, emails, or PMs here, I can't guarantee you will receive them in a timely manner unless the web form is used.

Thank you everyone for your patience. We appreciate it!

I'll have to look at my airplane when I get home...even though it's not an experimental, it's got a TruTrak in it. Thanks for passing that along, since I wouldn't have heard about it otherwise.

I was wondering about that. I thought Tru Trac might be in certified AC, but I just don't know. This does apply to ALL Tru trac elevator servo connecting arms.

According to the SB, there are some hi-torque servos it doesn't apply to.

From looking at the TruTrak site, it's not available for certificated aircraft..but mine's not certificated, but rather an S-LSA.
