my favorite thread here to date, and most likely a troll thread, was someone asking about spraying cold water into a hot engine and hearing a metallic ting sound

It spun off a number of other threads "spraying hot fire into a cold engine" etc

So that's why @EdFred was so bent about ADSB. Oh wait, Ed doesn't have a miss, let alone a mistress.

That was epic...wasn't he trying to fly between NYC where he lived and the mistress was in Florida?

When the target members got sooo bent out of shape, that was epic....

Speaking of bending PoA members out of shape.... please please start writing new "As the Propeller Turns" episodes or other stories (I really treasure the one you did about me and our flight with Murphey the St. Bernard). Your early before video written work was some of the best stuff. It was something I and many others always looked forward to seeing when we logged into PoA.

There used to be a "Nomex Maximus" posting on the red board. He changed his user name to MilStd1750A after he created a firestorm over there by insisting that the Reno Air Races should be ended after a Mustang crash killed some bystanders.

His threads are still accessible (in read-only mode) if you're a member of that forum:

    https://forums.aopa.org/showthread.php?t=105725

Here is the infamous thread (his first post in the thread is 54):

Closest to trolling for me - was asking someone if they'd like a fulfilling career as a busdriver.

That got me a POA vacation.

I think being a bus driver would be cool.

Speaking of trolling, besides the Nomex incident, bonus points to those that can figure out which members on here are my alter egos.

Oh, and I've covered my tracks way too well for the MC to be able to find me through an IP search.

    Have fun figuring it out!

Any chance you saved (and would share) the bookmark for the Nomex thread?

Well, it's quite obvious you're Henning, I'll have to think about the others.

Henning was going to get some unsuspecting...unsophisticated (in flying/piloting terms)...member killed one day with his regular supply untrue, false, and/or made-up, BS.

I miss him not. Life's too short without the need to worry about what stupid chit he made up today and posted that'll get someone killed. Let him do it elsewhere.

Having met Henning and Ed, granted not at the same place at the same time, I'm fairly confident they are different individuals.

I see a mod post on the Troll thread and get all excited to read it...

    And this was it. LOL!

I had Peter Gabriel’s Sledgehammer all ready to go on the Echos, too. LOL
