This summer we also made a trip to the Geneva area. With Geneva among Europe's priciest places, we flew to Annemasse just across the border with France, and we booked a hotel there. From Annemasse we took the city bus to Geneva to visit the city. The next day we made a flying trip: First to the Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in the Alps, and then further to Chalon via Annecy and Chambery. The next day we returned home.

Great trip report. I never flew powered planes in that area, but I was lucky enough to borrow a hang glider and fly from Col de la Forclaz above Lake Annecy. I'd land on a beach at the lake and have lunch then get a ride back to the top for a late afternoon flight. It was magical. Thanks for stirring my memories with your TR.

Thanks for the trip report. I enjoy reading about flying adventures in other countries.

I love that part of the world. I did stuff for the US at ITU at one point in time.
