Trip to Forbes AFB

Grandpa, my mom, and I flew up to topeka today in the 182 to turn in some documents to the recruiter. We had a great flight and got a tailwind there and back which was great. Here are a few pics that we took from the trip.


The helicopter came in as we were getting ready to leave, and then the
KC135 was doing touch and goes on the active runway and we had to hold short for it.

At first I thought those red dashed lines were an indication of the hold-short line! LOL!

Yeah, it is joint use. I used to fly 402s and Twin Otters out of there and United flew a 727 out of there for a time.
