Tough Mudder WI 2013

Josh, you guys are just plain nuts. :loco: If I'm going to be shocked and lose control of my bowels, it may as well be sitting at a bar and getting tasered by an angry cop. At least I'd be drunk when I get zapped. :D

Have fun though!

Looks positively dreadful. I'll be happy to root underneath some shade drinking a beer. Enjoy.

It's not that bad. At least this years course is flat. The course in 2011 was up and down a skill hill and it was in July. Good thing it's after Airventure. The grounds are going to get a little torn up. And the electric shock isn't so bad. Compared to a Taser, it's a piece of cake.

Oh, hell yea! Just signed up for my 2nd Warrior Dash, but this looks like it might take it up a notch. Wish there was one closer to N.O., but good excuse to go flying.

It takes it up a couple of notches. I did the Warrior Dash 2 weeks after my first Mudder. It was sort of a let down.

???

Is there a point to this?

Some people like to torture themselves while testing their limits. It really is a goal for me to get in better shape. Some of the obstacles are fun, and who can complain about mud covered women in tight, tiny shorts.

I like the last point. :D

I'm always surprised that there are people who go to gyms, or run, or do this mudding thing, to stay "in shape". All you have to do is buy an old hotel and spend three years remodeling it, and I guarantee that you will get in the best shape of your life -- AND pay for your avgas. ;)

Lift weights? Yup. It's called "hanging Sheetrock".

Forearm curls? It's called "screwing down Hardiebacker".

Leg exercises? Get up and down off a ladder a hundred times.

Cardiovascular exercise is harder to come by, but we do a 2 mile ocean walk regularly. There's a different bar every 100 yards or so, so you don't even notice the miles slipping by... :D
