Motion sickness seems to be the secret worry nobody likes to discuss (understandable given the potential impact on someone's medical cert). But at the same time it must be pretty widespread since a lot of pilots seem to have their own preferred methods for warding it off.
Where does motion sickness come into the medical certificate?

Given that side effects of Dramamine can include
Drowsiness, dizziness, headache, Blurred vision

Seems like a bad idea regardless of whether or not you have motion sickness.

I think most motion sickness meds are banned, which is why so many pilots keep Ginger chews/capsules on hand.

A conspiracy between the FAA and Big Ginger? You be the judge…

The main point of a soft field landing is to avoid nosing over is the soft landing material.

It's funny though. I am based on a very soft field. During winter drought, grass dies out or thins and there are patches of bare sand. In the picture below, the white strip is exposed sand on the runway centerline.

We have all kinds of airplanes based here or visiting constantly. Nobody does anything special for takeoff or landing technique. And yet in the past 5 years there has been one prop strike. It was a banner tow cub that had a tubular gear leg break while taxing about 3 mph on smooth hard ground.
