Tony Scott, Top Gun Director - Dead

Yeah, just watched his last project on TV last night. A two-night mini-series of "Coma".
 
Wow. Can't imagine the depth of despair needed to commit suicide. Just don't go there. :no:
 
Guy has inoperable and incurable brain cancer. Better to go while you're still you, and not wait to become a gibbering idiot.

When we first got married, I told Mrs. Steingar how I planned on keeping a fast bike around for my own emergency exit. She thought that was just awful, until she met Steingar Sr. at the home. Upon leaving, she quietly turned to me and said she'd kiss me goodbye. Some things are truly worse than death.
