Gorgeous day in Chicago. Today was going to be my ride.
Unfortunately, I'm not ready. I'm not going to force the issue and will take ride when I'm on top of my game. Still have to do partial panels and back courses.
So today, brushing upon ground and doing holds, missed, and approaches with the guy who will be DPE. I feel a little burnt out.
It's been a fun couple of weeks. My piloting skills have improved tremendously and I'm nearly there. But why rush?
These last few days, we've flown all types of approaches, published and non published holds, worked on all types of clearances, done circle to lands, survived thunderstorms, aircraft engine issues, gone to 2 resorts (non towered) for lunch, picked up and closed flight plans on ground and in air.
And so it goes....fortunate to have a great instructor and mentor.
