I purchased a SIM card from Tmobile for my switchbox.
The SIM is activated and I disconnected the Voicemail to the account.
But when I call the number to turn the switchbox on it isnt connecting.
Does anyone have any experience with using their own Tmobile SIM for the switchbox without purchasing one through switchbox?

It worked fine for me but that was three years ago. Dunno if tmob has changed anything. Phil is responsive to email. Can’t hurt much to ask him about any known problems.

Mine was 2G, but the phone companies are discontinuing that service . . .

I'd like a 4G cell switch, to have a decent lifespan in the rapidly-changing world of Consumer Electronics.

Well, the easy, but not cheap solution is a 4G hotspot and a WiFi switch. Depending on the carrier there are a few in the very low-$ per month, places like FreedomPop and similar.

The cheapest solution(ongoing) is to borrow internet from the FBO with a highly directional antenna...
