Thoughts on this video?

It's probably a good story with a good lesson and I might have read it on the page in a magazine especially if it had good photos accompanying it. But sorry, no I'm not going to sit and watch that for 24 minutes.

I lasted 34 seconds.

Generally you have about 6 seconds to hook viewers. Lead with a preview of the payoff and then show the viewer how you got there.

Describing the building, the vending machine, the ceiling fan, etc... I have no idea where we're going and I'm not interested in trying to figure it out.

I don't know if this is your video or it's a video you just like but whoever made it might benefit from researching storytelling strategies. In aviation, Flight Chops is very good at implementing story telling structure. Pacing is very important as well. For good examples of pacing, watch videos from" Fly me to the fun". They do a good job. If this is your video, hopefully that is helpful.

Oh lastly, viewers she getting tired of animation and AI. Real human interaction is more interesting.

I will go watch more of it and respond when I'm bored because you didn't ask for thoughts on the production but that is why I stopped watching.

Twice as long as me.

Most of what you said I vaguely remember from a high school psychology class. The only thing I can add would be an English accent. I remember hearing how of all the accents, people tune in longer to that.

Interesting. I didn't know that but I do notice that all the robots at the grocery stores and whatnot tend to have British accents.

All right I watched the whole thing.

The video is quite depressing. I think the narrator (writer) is a glass is half empty individual that paints every phase of flying and flight training to be this negative, frustrating, anxious, fear-inducing, stressful event for which we can never fully understand what the return is. B.S. by the way.

Every single phase of the aviation career in this video is painted with a nice heavy coat of depression, anxiety, and lament.

Feels like the videos purpose is to convince someone who's on the fence not to choose this career.

The only thing missing was the captain in the left seat watching a Cessna go by at the end and regretting that he went this route, wishing to be back in that little airplane, flying for fun again because he's forgotten how terrible it really was. Right about the commercial phase, I incorrectly predicted that would be how this thing ends to complete the depression loop fully.

I walk away not knowing what the purpose of the video was.

was it made by the "gAstOns is the MOst DeAdLy place to fly into!!" guy?*

*did not watch

Thoughts? AI produced crap to discourage teens from becoming a pilot. Which begs the question - why? GF moved out? Strangulated hemorrhoids burning? Generic pilot hate? And cheap inanimated animation. Woof

The attention whore reaction face thumbnail is a very useful signal that a video is not worth watching.

Thanks for the PIREP!

Actually I think this is a descent video for someone chasing an airline dream.
