What are your thoughts and/or experience with an EVS (enhanced vision system) and/or a Flir System in the cockpit?

Like the Max-Viz?

Thank-you:)

Based on your other threads, are you asking in general? Planning on installing on an experiential? Or planning on installing on your $100k 182 refurb?

If you have the money, sure, it's another tool in the bag. I think an EFIS with SV is a better investment. Even then, with proper planning and awareness of your surrounds, SV isn't really needed. I like seeing the runway end with terrain on the Chelton and flying through green boxes, but I can just an easily fly an ILS strictly on the needles.

I agree. My favoring of such a system is in the event of an engine failure at night and an emergency landing is the only option.

Thank you:)

I agree. If you do a lot of SE stuff at night, it could very well save your bacon. I'm not sure if they swivel back and forth? That's the one advantage of goggles is you can scan and find a landing site that's not directly in front of you. Since I rarely fly SE piston VFR at night I don't think I'll get EVS. Eventually I'll get a Dynon SV though.
