Therefore I can't make this announcement on the AOPA board so I'll just say it here. I'm a Grandmother, at last! Here is my Grandson, Emmett, 6 lbs 10 oz. He had a little transient SVT in utero and so bought himself a four day NICU stay, hence the leads. He's home now, doing great, no more SVT, seems to be heading for a healthy lifetime being spoiled by his Grandparents. :Dbefore bath.jpg

Looks like he's due for a diaper change. Congratulations!

Congrats! Nothing like them, I have two grandsons and the 6 year old has been up in a C152 a couple times. Enjoy him. And the best thing is when you get enough of him, you give him back! ;)

congrats, are they really that hard core about posts over there, wow. and we have 'juxtaposed thread' threads, haha

Why was I thinking you were like 30?
Hopefully not given the statement about having grandkids.

My wife once met a woman in her mid 30s who was a grandmother. This woman couldn't believe that any woman would want to have kids later than high school, and was thrilled to have grandkids in her 30s (which meant her kids were having kids in high school as well).

Very foreign concept to my wife and I (especially as I was born on my mom's 40th birthday, and my dad is 55 years older than me), but everyone's different. Obviously my birth was on the opposite end of the spectrum.

My daughter had to explain the blue line to me. One more thing I didn't grasp. Back in my day we knew how to tell the diaper was wet by smell and feel. No need for a visual indicator.

Yes they really are. Apparently it's all due to a single "hall monitor" who goes ape sheet at the least deviation and (like a coward) whines to mods behind the scenes. When he/she is on his/her death bed, I hope he/she feels good about all the time of their life they spent making sure the AOPA board never talked about anything but aviation.

Congratulations! So much fun.

It's also a lot of fun to teach them about airplanes.

What a great video, love it! He's so cute and going to be a great pilot you can already tell.

I take that as a big compliment. Thank you! No I turn 60 in a couple of weeks. Maybe you thought that because you saw me post somewhere that I played World of Warcraft. My kid forced me to try it.

Cute son you got there. I liked that he knew when to release the starter. I know 33 year olds that haven't figured that out yet.

Thanks :)

He holds it too long sometimes, but he does understand you have to release it. He's also great at starting carbureted engines, but tends to use too much choke.
