Impressive.

Ouch!

Last night on the news the reporterette said; "It is reported the pilot had to declare and emergency". Ya think? :mad2:

Did it make a train-whistle sound in flight?

If someone comes across the liveatc.net ATC recording, it would be interesting to hear the radio call.

When departing Saturday, noon-ish, I noticed a dead bird on the runway. I *finally*
got to use the "Call catering"schtik. <g>

Apparently all the airspeed readings became unreliable. The bird completely took out at least one pitot tube and disturbed the airflow over the others enough to make them unreliable.

Apparently, it's going to be back flying again tomorrow. Maybe even in service. So the rumor mill says.

I hope someone told the pilot we are all counting on him at least
