Ended up with four wings, two fuselages, one full set of tail feathers, and two engines. Three sets of logs, and three data plates.

Then later on (a few days later) ended up with another A65 for $100, and all the 65hp cylinders and pistons they have for $5 each.

Here's what followed me home:IMG_20220814_175620344 (Copy).jpg IMG_20220814_175353817 (Copy).jpg IMG_20220814_175405111 (Copy).jpg IMG_20220814_175414995 (Copy).jpg IMG_20220814_175508678 (Copy).jpg
I think there's enough here to come up with a flying BC12D with a few parts left over.

Look what the cat dragged in… :)

Piper made a twin engine J-3. You can make a twin biplane, F-82 style.

Hopefully you have a matched data plate and fuselage to use as a basis (the FAA has recently concluded that a data plate does not an aircraft make.)

Two of them actually. One damaged, and one in very good shape.

A bit of duct tape here and there and you'll be flying in no time. ;-)

Shorty,

Do you have a friend up there who's good with fabric? I'm looking for someone to walk me through covering a Champ.

I'll be doing it myself. But I'll be glad to help out with your Champ. (get some practice before doing mine ;) )
