They fished the Waco out of Lake travis today

Is says it's very well used now

Meanwhile, Sky King takes off in Songbird while his niece Penny, readies her C-140 just in case she is needed, stating it's just the right size for a girl. Clipper drives the trusty 1951 Plymouth woody station wagon across the desert in hopes of finding Mike Nelson, former United States Navy frogman, to see if he will dive to search for survivors.

Also, Lassie sits at the back door barking, awakening Gramps. Gramps steps outside to ask, "What's wrong, girl? Did Timmy fall into that dam well again?" While across the meadow Timmy is stealing honey from the bees, not realizing there is a bear stalking him from behind.

Superman is streaking across the skies while people below cry out, "Look, its a bird, a plane, No, it's Superman and he is buzzing the boats on that lake.!!

Yup, that's the Waco that went into our lako. Everybody local is making the joke.
Glad they're all here to talk about it.

Except only goofballs say "Way-co." All the cool kids say "Wah-co" and we always have.

Around here, we normally say "Wacko" due to our proximity to the city of Wacko with all the armed-to-the-teeth wackos (if anybody remembers that standoff). :)

Are we taking about the Weaver Aircraft Company or the ATF's favorite cookout location in Texas?

Waco Field in Ohio, where the company originally named Weaver Aircraft Company later became known as Advance Aircraft Co, and ultimately Waco, took its name. Supposedly.

The airplane is a Wah-ko and the town is most definitely pronounced Way-co - unless you aren't from here.

True. I think the issue is that far more people are familiar with the town in Texas and consequently use the same pronunciation for the airplane.
