Started watching this on Netflix. One of the best campy TV shows from the 70's, James Garner was a true gear-head and a role model for me as a kid.
Anyway, in season 1, episode 2 which is part 2 of the pilot, at the 36 minute mark begins the final chase scene when the bad guys lure Jim out into the desert where they have a 210 waiting to escape in. Yes. what follows is pure Hollywood (and TV at that) There are scenes when the 210 sounds exactly like an AT6 but I think it's effective. Oh and Jim does shoot down the 210 with his handgun which gets him arrested
But it's some really good footage because all of it is real. The problem with being a pilot is that you can never "believe" cgi - it just doesn't cut it.
My favorite aviation movie is "The Great Waldo Pepper" I'm pretty sure that 90% of that stuff was real.
