He actually produced The Prisoner, so kudos to him for a great concept.

He said the rover was supposed to be an impressive robot or something but they had no room in the budget to make it so they bought some "scary" surplus weather balloons.

FWIW: Several years ago when the place I worked for started turning gustappo dictatorship on everyone, my computer desktop was a pennyfarthing bicycle with a big #6 in the wheel. Sadly no one ever understood.

I thought it kinda worked... it was a pretty interesting concept for a robot (if not technically explained, LOL), and pretty creepy, too. Somehow, a big shiny humanoid robot or whatever would not have had the same effect.

BTW... RIP, "Number Six"...
