Just after 2pm Tuesday, August 16, 1977 Ginger Alden found Elvis, face down, unconscious, on the floor in the bathroom at Graceland. Clad only in blue top and yellow pajama bottoms. Elvis was crouched over. His face dark and bloated. By 3.30pm Elvis had been pronounced dead after frantic ambulance ride to Baptist Memorial Hospital where an unprecedented number of specialists battled to save his life. The official verdict was death by heart failure. The hospital called Vernon Presley to tell him that his son was dead.

thats a lie scott

last I knew, Elvis was working at a Gas station in UP Michigan

I saw Elvis yesterday. He's alive and kicking, and working at T-Mobile in Albuquerque.

You mean that August 16, 1977 is the day he was REPORTED dead. I had lunch with him and Jimmy Hoffa at Sonny's BBQ last month.

Albert Gardner was one year ahead of me at Rockland High School. (I thought he was some sort of a jerk -- but he had two gorgeous older sisters[Marie and Joanie] who were 2 and 3 years ahead of me, and each was Kippy Karnival Kween(annual high school extravaganza) during her Senior year).

The USAF was good for Albert; it reshaped him.

[FONT=Verdana, Arial]Recently a new album called "KINGTINUED" was released by an independent label featuring a performer who sounds remarkably like Elvis. The credits on the CD list the singer as "The Voice of Elvis." Strange, right? Read on.

In Las Vegas, KLAS-CBS News' special investigation unit performed computer voice print analysis that confirmed our suspicions: the voice is an exact matchfor the one and only Elvis Presley.

Could the new CD be simply a collection of lost recordings never before released? This seems like a reasonable explanation. Except that many of the recordings on the CD are of recent well-known hits...tunes and lyrics not written until well after Elvis' alleged death in 1977!

Sounds like proof of his exisitance. You think he is hanging out with Jim Morrison and Janis Joplin somewhere?

BTW for dinner tonight you all should have a fried banana and peanut butter sandwich and a glass of buttermilk, and a handful of amphetamines to celebrate the way the King would have wanted you too.

Elvis Presley's Grilled Peanut Butter
and Banana Sandwich

  • 2 slices of white bread
  • 2 tablespoons of smooth peanut butter
  • 1 small ripe banana mashed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
Spread the peanut butter on one slice of bread and the mashed banana on the other. Press the slices gently together. Melt the butter (or to be truly Elvis-like, melt bacon fat!), over low heat in a small frying pan. Place the sandwich in the pan and fry until golden brown on both sides. Eat it with a glass of buttermilk. Please note: Elvis tended to eat 12-15 sandwiches a sitting! So belly up!

Gee Scott, I thought in order to honor the "king" we were suppose to go to the local drug store, get as many drugs as possible and eat them while sitting on the commode?:dunno:

I would be totally down for all of that, except I don't understand how anyone can "drink" buttermilk, and the only amphetamines I can get my hands on easily are methamphetamines, and I'm not really in the mood :D

Basically, I'm saying Fried Banana and peanut butter sandwiches are delicious.
