That was a long read, but a great adventure!! I used maps.google.com to follow along with where you were, both in the air on the road.
Nice pictures too, how cool to see those things up close and personal from your own airplane. We've seen most of what you described in South Dakota and Wyoming on a road trip with the family--truly beautiful areas. The drive from I-90 up to Devil's Tower took us through some really pretty hills and valleys with pretty farms by creeks and fields of trees... we wanted to move there to raise the kids... and then thought about the 9 months of snow and blizzards!

I grew up in Custer, SD... we had a couple of snowmobiles that we actually got to use maybe a whole week each winter...
